Follow-Up Intervals Should Come From the Chart

A generic reminder assumes every treatment behaves the same way. A neurotoxin check, a filler review, the next session of a laser series and the next cycle of a facial course have nothing in common except the patient.
Derive the interval from the treatment type and let the provider override it on the chart when a specific patient warrants it. Aftercare sends on signature; the check-in follows at the clinically relevant point.
Message content should reference what was actually delivered — the areas treated, the products used, the session number in a course. Specific outreach converts because it reads like the clinic remembers the visit.
Make the rebooking link do the work too: pre-filtered to the correct treatment, duration and eligible provider, with the interval window applied so only appropriate slots are offered. What does not convert escalates into a win-back queue with the treatment history attached.
