Standardising Before and After Photography

Two photos taken at different angles, distances and light levels are not a comparison. They are two unrelated images, and any conclusion drawn from them is unreliable — clinically and commercially.

Define the required views on the treatment type: front, oblique, profile, animation. At capture, overlay the previous image for that view so the new photo is framed against the baseline rather than by eye.

Store photo sets against the specific treatment record, not in a loose gallery. That keeps the units, product, lot and device settings that produced the result attached to the images.

Permissions are two decisions, not one. Clinical use rides with treatment consent; marketing use is separate, revocable, and enforced at export so a withdrawn permission actually blocks the image.
