Med Spa Email Marketing: The Five Sequences Worth Automating

Med Spa Email Marketing: The Five Sequences Worth Automating

Email works for med spas when it is triggered by something that happened, and fails when it is a monthly newsletter written on a Friday afternoon. Five sequences cover almost all of the value.

Pre-visit: confirmation, intake and consent link, and preparation instructions specific to the booked service. This sequence reduces no-shows and stops the front desk chasing paperwork at the door.

Aftercare: sent on chart signature, containing the clinic's own guidance for the service performed. It is the highest-open message you will ever send, which makes it the right place to set the expectation for the next visit.

Rebooking: timed from the treatment's own follow-up interval rather than a blanket ninety days, and linked to a booking page pre-filtered to the correct service, duration and eligible provider.

Win-back: for clients past their interval with no upcoming appointment, referencing the treatment they actually had. Keep the cadence short — two messages spaced a fortnight apart outperforms a long drip.

Membership: onboarding for new members, an entitlement reminder when a monthly benefit is going unused, and a renewal notice before the billing date. Unused benefits are the leading indicator of a cancellation.

All five depend on the same thing: a client record where the service, the provider, the interval and the entitlement balance are structured fields rather than notes. Automation is easy once the data underneath is clean.
