Running the Consultation as a Workflow, Not a Conversation

Running the Consultation as a Workflow, Not a Conversation

Consultations fail commercially for the same reason they fail clinically: the outcome lives in someone's memory rather than on the record. The patient leaves with a verbal number, the provider leaves with an impression, and nothing in the system knows what was agreed.

Treating it as a workflow fixes the sequence. The booking page routes first-time injectable requests to a consultation slot; intake and medical history arrive before the visit; contraindications recorded during the assessment gate the treatments they affect so an unsafe booking is never offered.

The output is a treatment plan, not a note — selected treatments with areas, expected units or sessions, interval spacing and pricing that already accounts for membership rates. That plan becomes the quote, queues the right consent forms, and can be booked with a deposit in the same visit.

What does not convert still has value. Unconverted plans drop into the follow-up queue with their contents attached, so the outreach references the actual treatments discussed instead of a generic check-in.
